I got some streamer buckets at the dollar store.  There is enough for everyone.  Baron suggested putting the streamers in the bucket so they don't cause a tripping hazard and are unlikely to get torn before it is airborne.  Next Time I'm out I'll bring them.

What is your illusion to team combat rules? 

Darryl and Bill, pick your names as I am going to change the website to remove the names your mother gave you and replace them with our call signs.  MP is Maverick, MH is Goose, SH is FEARLESS.   Starting shortly I'm going to start entering data in detail into spreadsheet for cuts, kills, KIA, plane ID, Pilot ID rounds, dates etc.   With that we will be able to plot statistics like a baseball player.  Hope to have it completed by early next week.  If I get it automated enough I can keep up as it will be just data entry and the program does all the sorting, statistics and graphing.  I can keep up with that but all the manual stuff is time consuming.  A two word name confuses the program.  Pick a one word call sign Bill and Darryl.

Another AWSOME day at the field...except for the rain.

A quick decision was made to hold the club meeting this Saturday, Feb. 9th at the field.  An oyster roast will be held at a cost of $10 per person at the meeting.  Oyster roast and meeting will start at 12 noon.  We need a large turn out as the club mowing will come up for a vote, this will affect you so please turn out for the meeting.  Please let Bill Davis or Scott Happel know by Wednesday for number of people planning to eat at the oyster roast.

You guys remind me of something I saw on Animal Planet last week.   In Africa, the lion rules the plains as long as he is around.  But as soon as he has his fill and leaves for a rest, the hyenas and rodents get to fight over his scraps.

I got up this morning and entered my shop to work on my planes.  Of my three combat planes, I found:

Plane #1,  Busted, irrepairable wing with destroyed muffler.  Engine stuffed with dirt

Plane #2,  Busted wing tip that needs some epoxy and Gorilla Glue.  Engine stuffed with dirt. To be patched and repaired

Plane #3, Busted prop and covering damage.  To be patched and repaired.

It was like waking up with a hangover: it must have been fun but it is a mess in the morning

Post "Black" Sunday;

 Plane #1, Rudder ripped off, antenna cut(Note: andtenna was attached to the rudder); also, broken muffler bolt: replaced bolt, repaired, now rudder and antenna a little shorter. 

Place #2, plane unsuspectedly "snaps", re-balanced and still snaps a little, I just expected now.

Both planes were test flown Monday.

Combat Note:  Loyd Pittman was available to fly my second plane and  engaged in his first "Round of Battle".

1st round:  No cuts, lots of near misses with my own plane.

2nd round:  Saw the new guy Pittman cut Maverick early in the round.  Maverick, fueled by taunts from 'Zilla, retaliated with a cut,and took half Pittmans streamer.  Both planes now trailed streamers.  Suddenly, in an astonishing and bewildering maneuver, Maverick cut the "simulator" skilled Pittman again!  'Zilla, weary from Combat the day prior, witnessed the "Blaze of Glory" from the comfort of the shed swing and could be heard saying "It was like magic, one minute the Red Baron had one streamer, then, vioala, he had two!"

From the Rumor Mill:  Allen, from Hayes Hobbies, said Pittman has purchased hardware and an engine. Said he was building a "Combat" plane.  You do the math.  Will see next Sunday.

 I started adding score last nite but did not finish.  The Goose is again above 1.000.  We have not heard the last of that. 

I was 0.001 above you, Maverick, after Sunday's battles.  But with your score yesterday, you'll surely be pass me.

The first annual FISH FRY UNLIMITED CLASS COMBAT NATIONALS aka... (FN NATS)

Meet the greats and not so greats: 'Zilla, Fearless, Duck-U, Maverick, Goose, Daniel B. and Iceman.  Also, Rob and the newest Combatant, Pittman, rumored to posess the coveted "Golden .32SX".

The planes will be on display before and after "Rounds of Combat".

See the Famous Red Baron. Hear the tales of the Late Frog'Zilla, watch as Goose uses his bare-hands to re-enact aerial ballet.  Listen as Duck-U and Fearless discuss the art of T-Bagging.

In between "Rounds of Combat", Maverick and Goose will giving instructional classes in Aerial Combat.  Version 1.Old School.

Trainer Planes will be available to anyone with  "TRUE GRIT" and dare enter the Combat Areana or  "The Fur Ball".  Note: PRIORITY will be given to those Combat Pilots needing some "Trainer" stick time. 

This event is invite only, All though, serious thought will be given to those willing to tie a streamer onto anything "Air Worthy".

Come for the Carnage, stay for the Fish. 

 Advisory, small children and pets may be disturbed by the carnage and or Pilot Habbits.

Anybody keep track of names, rounds, cuts, kills etc.  I can not be there this weekend I'm at the beach.

I cut out all data in the scorecard prior to 3/1/08.  Interesting data.  Daniel still has a few rounds and leaves the average with only 3 rounds to contribute to his 1.33 but it runs down like this:

Daniel, Mark P., Scott, Mark H., Bill, Daryl and the others. 

Outside of Daniel, very tight numbers and a new king of the sky: Mark P, with an even 1.000!

I'm in Montreal.  Great food, very beautiful women and this huge jazz festival started yesterday.  I've done two of three.  Flying home Saturday morning.

 Hexion gets their money's worth. I have not been able to spend countless hours on my time updating website.  Terminal father-in-law, vacation last week and business travel have reduced my combat time to below the critical level.

 The Judge, or I should say, the Judges wife, is allergic to North Carolina and has been rushed back to her home state of Texas. 

 As for the Judge, he should be back any day, maybe to stay, most likely be re-assigned some where more suitiable to his wifes needs.

Friday may be the last flyable day of the week, maybe we'll see Duck-U's "siblings", as you say, as we will be setting up for the Fun Fly or preping for the Urrican.

I was talking with Goose today and he suggested that a group of us go to the davis bridge fun fly and do combat.  Their fun fly is 10/11.  I contacted the davis bridge group about it and they would like it.  It is on baby I'm going, Goose is going need a couple more

If we get them interested Goose wants to form an intramural league.  I love it.

As for Davis Bridge, Im in!   

Note: I noticed, on thier flyer, they have work benches similar to ours.  Im not sure how many they have and I can "swing" by and count.  My suggestion would be to bring our own, which ain't easy.  I could carry 3 or 4 and drag one behind my truck.  This is just a thought.  All though, our benches ROCK and are great for "crankin'  up planes and trying to figure out why sometimes our combat planes don't run!"

Theres been alot of "Seniors"  at our field and we should do something in recognition of these "Seniors".

Kadet Seniors, not Dwight or Mr. White!     The SOCOM First National Open invitational Kadet Senior Fly In.   F.N.K.I.D.S. 

After a Round of Combat, we could beat the "FNKIDS".  So far, Mav, Goose, Zilla and Fearless have Seniors. Thats four planes each with a seven foot wing span, that equals....alotta dead gone planes.
